Immediate implant placement to protect the alveolar crest and augmentation techniques
21/05/16 16:30 – 18:00
Studies in humans and animals have shown that following tooth loss, the alveolar ridge becomes anthropic changes. By installing implants or biomaterials in the fresh extraction sockets the changes could be successfully stooped or minimized. The grafting with anorganic bovine bone mineral prevented ridge contraction better than autogenous bone. The aim of this lecture to understand the different augmentation techniques and materials for the best outcome in daily practice.
Learning objectives:
– Bone and remodeling with the understanding of the Biology.
– Socket preservation for short and long term. Are there any differences of the presurgical conditions ? The following surgical procedures are determining the material which is used in the socet pereservation.
– Immediate Implant placement and augmentation materials and safe techniques. Are there any differences from the biotype point of wiev.
– Differences of the bone substitutes. Is there any best material ? Why we need different collagene membranes ?
– Vertical defects and the usage of bone substitutes. Where is the gold standart. Are there any limits?
